ASAN Membership Drive 2016: June 16-30 at a Farmers Market Near You!

by | Jun 17, 2016

ASAN_poster croppedThe Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network, is a grassroots network of farmers, gardeners, local-food-loving brown thumbs, and everyone in between – who together are building a better food system for Alabamians, by Alabamians.

ASAN is holding a membership drive from June 16th-30th, at farmers markets around the state.  If you already support local farmers at farmers markets stop by while you’re there, and take the next step — join ASAN.

You can also join online at https://asanonline.org/join-asan.
$25 annually – Individual Membership
$50 annually – Farm/Household Membership

Sustainable agriculture holds that the way forward is to resist uniformity and commodification. Farmers foster that spirit in on-farm biological communities – ASAN seeks to foster it in our human communities as well.

In joining the ASAN family, you’re helping to protect and remediate our vital soil and water, foster locally rooted community development, and promoting food that is as healthy for those eating it as for those growing it.

By joining ASAN, you’re giving life to a movement for a better way forward for Alabama.

Find us at the following times/places, to learn more and to become part of the ASAN family!

Additional markets will be added throughout the drive, so check back!

Don’t see your favorite market on the list?  If you have a few hours to give, you can change that, and help ASAN reach a wider audience of potential members!  Ask the market if they can make a table available, and/or share information about the drive on their weekly email or social media pages.  We can supply the promo materials you need!  Contact [email protected] if you want to help and have a lead on a market!

Help us spread the word!

Tell your family, friends, and networks about ASAN!  Share our post on Facebook, share this post via email, tell a friend over lemonade, shout it from the rooftops, call your neighbor on a tin-can phone…. you get the idea.  In short, we want to grow, and we need your help to do it!!
