Farms come in all types and sizes, from hundreds of acres to tens of square feet. Knowing what tools are the best fit for your purpose, scale of operation, and budget can be hard. This workshop will be focused on how to select the right equipment for a wide range of farm types.
NCAT is offering this workshop for new and beginning as well as experienced producers, limited-resource producers, and military veterans.
NCAT Gulf States Office Regional Director Rockiell Woods, and staff Felicia Bell, sustainable agriculture specialist, and Sam Humphrey, demonstration farm manager, along with Alcorn State Extension staff, will discuss the following topics:

• Safe equipment handling
• Farm goal-setting, crop planning, and business planning
• Crop insurance & whole farm insurance
• Financial planning and recordkeeping
• Farm liability issues
