From the organizers:
A guest chef event to benefit the Southern Foodways Alliance. Chef David Bancroft of Acre in Auburn and Chef Kevin Johnson of The Grocery in Charleston join Executive Chef Steven Greene and Pastry Chef Jonathan Fisher in a collaborative menu highlighting the winter produce from our culinary farm. The evening begins with a welcome reception and small, curated silent auction followed by an artistic, multi-course dinner in Herons, with 50% of the events proceeds donated to the SFA.
Based at the University of Mississippi’s Center for the Study of Southern Culture, the SFA collects oral histories, produces films and podcasts, publishes great writing, sponsors scholarship, mentors students and stages events that serve as progressive and inclusive catalysts for the greater South.
Reception and silent auction begin at 6:30 pm and will be held in The Art Gallery, with dinner beginning at 7:00 pm in Herons.
Tickets are $150 plus tax and gratuity and may be purchased at 919-447-4050.
