The Alabama Sustainable Agricultural Network will be hosting the third in its series of 2015 Regional Food and Farm Forums at the Mobile County Training School in the historic Africatown community on the north side of Mobile.

The Forum will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, with a schedule as follows:
Tentative agenda (**subject to change**):
– 12:30-1:00pm Registration
– 1:00-3:00 Welcome, intro to MCTS and Africatown community, oral history session
– 3:15-6:15 Roundtable discussion sessions (3, 50 minutes each)
– 6:15-7:30 Dinner and wrap-up
Roundtable discussions are meant to be accessible to folks of all levels of skill and experience. Topics include:
Starting and sustaining successful school and community gardens
Growing mushrooms
Water quality
Backyard and small-scale poultry
Hydroponics and Aquaponics
Fermentation
Access to capital
Worker-owned Cooperatives
