From the organizers:
The PSA Integrated Training combines both the PSA Grower Training and the PSA Train-the-Trainer Course. During an integrated course, trainers participate in the PSA Grower Training Course on Day 1 and learn from the interaction with growers. Trainers will then have the opportunity to have more in-depth discussion on Day 2 to help prepare them to deliver the PSA Grower Training Course. During the course, growers and others interested in learning about produce safety will have opportunity to discuss the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety. Growers should attend Day 1 and produce safety educators who are interested in becoming PSA Trainers or PSA Lead Trainers will need to attend both Day 1 & 2.
This training is supported by grant funds to increase the food safety training capacity of 1890 Land Grant Universities. The registration fee for trainers associated with 1890 universities is an awesome bargain at $10. I would appreciate your assistance publicizing this event.
