From the organizers:
The Summit is a statewide educational event (the only of its kind in Florida) geared toward farmers and the public (those who eat, cook, and grow good food) to come together and learn new skills and techniques on growing, processing, preparing and selling organic and sustainable foods, on farm and at home.
Last year we focused on farmers but this year we are adding a track for homesteaders and foodies (workshops like fermentation, backyard chicken raising, etc.). Feel free to have a look at our Summit website and last year’s lineup to get an idea of what the Summit consists of: https://organicfoodandfarmingsummit.org/summit-schedule The two-day event will include farm tours and on-farm workshops, in-depth educational sessions, classroom workshops, a trade show, and much more!
-We are also looking for a few more speakers and workshop leaders if you or anyone you know has something helpful to share with farmers, gardeners, home cooks, health-conscious folks, or food entrepreneurs.
This event is not hosted by ASAN. As one of ASAN’s roles is to share information and resources across our network so as to maximize all of our impact, we routinely post events that we ourselves are not hosting. If you have questions regarding this event, please contact event organizers rather than ASAN.
