From the organizers:

Funding/Resources: In the Black-Belt area, there are not many farms or farmers. With the few that currently exist, farmers do not have enough funding or resources to keep their property.  Many farmers and their family income are dependent upon crops and livestock. However, there are some organizations that can help fund some of these farmers.

In this workshop we will discuss the different organizations that provide funding to farmers:

  • Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT) for Pasture improvement Grants
  • USDA for grants and loans, etc.
