From the organizers:
Remember how your grandmother used to have crocks with sauerkraut or fermented pickles in them? Fermented foods, along with a diet higher in fruits and vegetables, is more of what we need to help protect our gut health and immune system.
In this class, we will discuss the proper preservation procedures for preparing fermented foods and then how to process low and high acidic foods. Each person will make a jar of sauerkraut to carry home.
When: 1-4 p.m. Nov. 7th
Where: Hayneville Baptist Church
Registration is required here. This course is limited to 25 participants.
