From the organizers:
We know parents are always seeking great opportunities for fun, engaging, affordable activities and we look forward to offering that through our 15 Farmily Days over the next year. Our activities will feature one hour of Get Moving! where parents and kids will participate in physical activities like yoga and farm games. Games will be divided by age group and adults will be encouraged to join their kids. Following our Get Moving! hour, will be Makers Hour where we will offer craft projects for parents to do with their kids such as building a bee bath or mini greenhouse. Other weeks, our Little Chefs Hour will feature Chefs from the community that will offer a cooking demonstration for parents and their kids as we hope to inspire families to eat and cook nutritious meals together.
July Farmily Day is going to feature yoga and DIY solar oven making for taking home. There will be brief lesson about the science behind solar ovens as well as a brief vegetable harvest and solar oven cooking demo. Join us for some mindful movement, a little science and a lot of fun.
We will provide water and sprinklers. Please wear a hat, appropriate clothing and shoes you do not mind getting dirty. Bring sunscreen and a snack!
We look forward to seeing you!
