From the organizers:

The 5th annual CSA Day is just a few weeks away: February 22nd, 2019. It is always the last Friday in February, by the way, because based on our CSA Farming Report, this is the most popular day to sign up for a CSA share.

This has been a popular way for farms to drive sign-ups with members and potential members while the beginning of harvest is still months away for many of us. Last year, over 1600 farms participated.

The true concept behind CSA Day is simply to give you a way to talk to your customers and online audience and say: “today is the day to sign up for our CSA”. It is about as simple as that. We’ve had some farms sell as many as 100 CSA shares on CSA day by using this opportunity to talk to their audience!

To help you with that conversation, we have developed a promotional package that includes:

  • Shareable social media images for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

  • Press releases you can customize

  • Sample copy to use for social media, email, and your website

A lot of folks have had success doing Facebook advertising in past years to show ads to people in their local area on CSA Day and reach beyond their current audience to drive sales.

Make sure your farm is in the directory

As of today, we have 1,876 farms in the directory so make sure you add your farm. Potential CSA customers will come to this site to find your farm, so we want to make sure they find you!

Wishing you much farm business success (among all the other kinds of success too, of course) in 2019!
