Support this day by offering an awareness event in your community.
The event can be as simple as offering a cooking demonstration, holding an activity session at a local school or getting a proclamation from the mayor. Please help us make an impact in communities around the country on, or around, October 16.

“The American Culinary Federation local chapter, ACF Gulf Coast Culinary Association, will be hosting a Nutrition day celebrated at WC Griggs Elementary School 6001 Three Notch Rd Mobile Al 36619.

This Event will take Place in the School Gymnasium the time for this event is 9:00 am to 11:30 am. There will be 300 students average 2 – 45 minutes session in the gym. Culinary Educators, your students are welcome to attend this event we will be delighted to have our future chef’s come out to help support childhood nutrition day 2018. And all Food Service professionals and chefs are welcome to attend this event, let’s come together and do something great.
Childhood Nutrition Day, celebrated on, or around Oct. 16, focuses on the need for education about childhood hunger, proper nutrition and obesity issues. Since the campaign’s launch in 1995, hundreds of chefs across the nation have participated in events within their local communities to feed hungry children, and foster and promote awareness of proper nutrition.”
