The ASAN Food & Farm Forum is the central annual gathering of ASAN’s statewide network of farmers, gardeners, community leaders, and good food advocates. Diverse participants from across the state will come together for a weekend of “cross-pollinating” and collaboration to build a more robust local food system throughout Alabama. You don’t want to miss it!
The Forum is part conference, part fair, and part reunion. Portions of the Forum will be modeled after the folk tradition of the “bee,” in which community members come together to do shared work while also socializing and celebrating.
The Forum will consist of peer-to-peer, hands-on, and experiential learning, in the form of workshops, panel discussions, and breakout conversations. The Forum will engage people’s minds, hearts, and bodies, regardless of skill level or experience. Oh and did we mention there will be good food?!
We’re thrilled to be hosting our first-every YOUTH Food & Farm Forum this year as well, in conjunction with the adult Forum. The Youth Forum is geared towards youth ages 14-21.
*Family friendly!* FREE child care will be provided throughout the weekend for kids younger than 14(but must register).
We hope you’ll make plans to join us! Click here for all the details.
