From the organizers:

Renew Alabama is hosting a statewide Environmental Justice tour to build a collective narrative with organizations, faith leaders and community leaders around environmental concerns. We will facilitate break out sessions on clean energy alternatives, community owned power, pollution and health as well as skills building workshops on campaign development, building a strong team, mapping decision makers and effective story telling. Through a process of knowledge sharing, skills building and envisioning a sustainable future we deserve, we hope to mobilize community leaders into coordinated statewide action for environmental justice!

Before finalizing the agenda, we would love to hear about the concerns/challenges/issues facing your community and/or region! Please take the time to fill out this survey, which we will use to identify topics of discussion and skills building workshops to bring to your regional tour stop!

Partner organizations include: Gasp, People’s Justice Council, Power Shift Network, Sierra Club, and Montgomery Pride United.

These events are FREE and open to the public! We will provide lunch, snacks and refreshments! We can’t wait to hear your ideas and visions for change.

If you are planning to come to this event, please register here so we can know how much food to order and supplies to bring. Thanks!

Hope to see you there!
