A “Golden Ticket” qualifier for the World Food Championship
The Alabama chapter has partnered with Alabama Bicentennial Alabama200.org and Alabama Coasting Magazine Alcoasting.com to showcase a culinary fair with foods and vendors local to Alabama.
Come and sample some of the delicious culinary treats that our “Sweet Home Alabama” has to offer. See live culinary food demos, and meet some of your local food purveyors, chefs and vendors. You will hear from nutrition and health experts and see some of Alabama’s talented chefs, home cooks, and restaurant pros battle it out for a “Golden Ticket” to the 2018 World Food Championships. With a Grand Prize of $300,000.00
Our competition is a qualifier for the World Food Championship sponsored by Walmart. Held August 11th, 2018. At Jefferson State Community College, the Sweet Home Alabama competition has two categories, Student/School (High School/Post Secondary) and Other (Home cooks & Professionals). It is imperative that you refer to the World Food Championships requirements, guidelines, and regulations. WFC Competitor Packet The WFC will be held November 7th – 11th, in Orange Beach.
