From the organizers:
The 2019 Winter Leadership Institute, is December 13-15, 2019 at Jones Valley Teaching Farm in Birmingham, Alabama!
The Rooted in Community (RIC) Winter Leadership Institute is an opportunity for adults* involved with food system based youth-development programs to come together to share best practices and help each other grow personally and professionally. The institute is for adults who already have experience doing youth development food justice work.
The format will be a mix of pre-planned workshops and open space time. The goal of the Winter Leadership Institute is to give adults who work with youth an opportunity to share experiences, get questions answered, and build relationships.
The Winter Leadership Institute is meant to be small and intimate and we will cap attendance at 75 individuals. If you have any questions contact [email protected]
There is a registration fee of $250 to cover housing, meals, and conference activities.
*RIC defines “adult” based on the leadership role that they have – not based on age. This training is specifically for people who lead youth programs for their organization and not for program participants (even if they are 18 or over).
This event is not hosted by ASAN. As one of ASAN’s roles is to share information and resources across our network so as to maximize all of our impact, we routinely post events that we ourselves are not hosting. If you have questions regarding this event, please contact event organizers rather than ASAN.
