Who We Are

A Community of Farmers
Helping Farmers

Many Alabama farmers are isolated and under-supported, struggling to access markets, equipment, and training – especially those from marginalized communities. At ASAN, we bring farmers together to share knowledge, build networks, and advocate for a better future. We offer on-the-ground training, emergency support, and a growing community – led by farmers, for farmers. When you join or support ASAN, you help ensure that Alabama’s food system is not only sustainable – but just, resilient, and rooted in community.

Our Core Values

Equity

We work to ensure all farmers have fair access to land, resources, markets, and opportunities, with special attention to historically marginalized communities.

Right-relationship

We commit to building respectful, caring connections with each other, our communities, and the land that sustains us all.

Thriving Community

We foster environments where farmers, families, and ecosystems can flourish together in mutual support and shared prosperity.

Transformation

We embrace continuous learning and positive change to create more just and sustainable agricultural systems for everyone.
